J.A. Beeftink (Hans)
Chartered accountant Hans Beeftink studied Economics and Accountancy. After completing his studies he worked for 7 years as a (senior) management consultant at what was then called Klynveld Kraayenhof en Co. (now KPMG). His activities mainly comprised cost-reduction studies and scans.
He then worked for Moret en Limperg (now Ernst & Young), where he was also (European) Chair of the Retail & Consumer Products sector for 20 years. His expertise mainly focuses upon the problems in retail and franchise companies, but also upon matters such as valuations, business succession and insolvency. He has already had publications in a number of specialist journals (Distrifood, Food Personality, Food Magazine) and carried out various sectoral studies (‘supermarket of the future’, scenario study, internet-based purchases, global inflation), as well as working on various books and speaking at countless seminars about retail, franchising and corporate takeover. He was the main guest speaker at the food congress in Moscow in 2005.
He is also experienced in supervising and setting up new business concepts, advising management boards and managing retail chains and franchise associations, implementing fee structures and mediating during conflicts. One of his other areas of expertise lies in valuing shares and other business assets.
